“Sougeiga” is a new creative form of fabric-collage making invented in Japan about 40years ago by Yodo Kobuchi.
It’s a making involves unique materials and process.
With a delicate preparation and finishing process,We achieve one flat sheet of beautiful fabric art like a traditional two-dimensional painting.
“Sougeiga” is a new art created from “Japanese cover-Hyoso” and “Japanese paper” techniques and traditions.
The fabric is silk, cotton or hemp etc… .
In addition to Japanese kimonos, we can also use foreign scarves and ties.
We hope to express the fusion of the individuality of fabrics that transcend eras and borders.
